I should be water-loading (is that a thing?) because I’m heading to Las Vegas for a conference next week and I know my East Hawaii body will dry up and blow away like a tumbleweed. So I hear it’s Friday again. Huh. How about that? 😳 At the risk of sounding like a broken record, apologies for being somewhat digitally absent. I had planned to write a Stories I Love post this week—even had the subject picked out. (No spoilers, I’m not saying.) But you know what? I can’t think straight. You know why? If you’ve been reading my blog long, you’ll know that 1) living on Hawaii Island isn’t like living in most places, and 2) it probably also isn’t what you expected. Although beautiful in its own way, there is a conspicuous absence of white sand beaches (at least on the windward side), and a conspicuous absence of me sitting on them, with or without umbrella drinks.
